Last Thursday at Aras Inis Gluaire Belmullet, they screened director and screen writer Sofia Coppola's biographical movie, 'Priscilla'. The movie tells the tale of Priscilla Beaulieu, who through loving Elvis Presley had everything and nothing all at the same time. A tale of isolation, lonliness and the dark side of what seemed to be a fairytale. The lead roles were played by Cailee Spaeny (Priscilla) and Jacob Elordi (Elvis). I thought Spaeny did a fantastic job at portraying Priscilla's innocence when she first met Elvis and Elordi also impressed as a much darker Elvis to what viewers are used to seeing. The movie itself is based on Priscilla's memoir 'Elvis and Me'. This is her story of what life was like with the King of Rock'n'Roll and it does not portray him in a good light.
