Friends Experience: The One in Dublin Review

My daughter and I having been watchinig Friends together since she was a 'Joey in the pouch', so it was an amazing experience to be able to spend her 18th birthday with her in Monica's apartment, Joey's apartment and Central Perk.  This was all thanks to The Friends Experience which will be in Parnell Square, Dublin until January 27th 2024.

From the time you walk in the door of The Friends Experience you are in a maze of Friends memorabila, set replica's, photo oppertunities such as the 'PIVOT' scene and an awesome store with loads of Friends merchandise.

As you turn each corner your jaw just drops. When I seen Monica's apartment I just could not believe how accurate it was and I really felt like I was standing in the apartment I'd been watching on TV for the past 29 years.

Could it BE more accurate!!!!!

The attention to detail that fans of the show would appreciate was very impressive. For example, they had Joey's copy of The Shining in the freezer in his apartment.

We had so much fun taking photo's and the staff were so friendly and helpful offering to take photo's for us, so all three of us could be in them. I think these guys deserve alot of credit because they were so nice they made the experience even more enjoyable.

I can't recommend this experience highly enough. How often do you get the chance to play foosball in Joey and Chandler's apartment or play guitar on Phoebe's stage in Central Perk. The Friends Experience is just in Dublin for a few more weeks so don't miss out, buy your tickets today Here

Priscilla Movie Review

Last Thursday at Aras Inis Gluaire Belmullet, they screened director and screen writer Sofia Coppola's biographical movie, 'Priscilla'. The movie tells the tale of Priscilla Beaulieu, who through loving Elvis Presley had everything and nothing all at the same time. A tale of isolation, lonliness and the dark side of what seemed to be a fairytale. The lead roles were played by Cailee Spaeny (Priscilla) and Jacob Elordi (Elvis). I thought Spaeny did a fantastic job at portraying Priscilla's innocence when she first met Elvis and Elordi also impressed as a much darker Elvis to what viewers are used to seeing. The movie itself is based on Priscilla's memoir 'Elvis and Me'. This is her story of what life was like with the King of Rock'n'Roll and it does not portray him in a good light. Spoiled, misogynistic, psychologically abusive and deviant are words that come to mind when you ask me to describe the man I seen on screen. Priscilla did everything to t...

Shocking scenes as 121 birds are rescued from horrific 'hoarding situation' in the Midlands

IMAGE: ISPCA Parrot Rescue Ireland  are based in Sligo and they have taken on the care of a number of exotic birds who were recently rescued from 'a hoarding situation' in the Midlands. In total, 121 birds of various species including parrots, budgies, quail, parakeets, finches, cockateils and domestic hens were found in what the ISPCA has described as 'deplorable conditions'. When a member of the public reported their concerns to the ISPCA, a multi-agency operation was organised including, the gardai, the HSE and the National Parks and Wildlife Service. ISPCA Inspector Lyndsey Delaney detailed the horrific conditions to  The Journal  where she described how there was a build up of faeces, fly infestation, rotton food and the bird cages had cobwebs on them making it clear how neglected these birds were. They found birds who were already deceased and others who had beak damage, broken wings and severe feather loss. The premises had an absolutely appalling smell resu...
